how do you tell famous stories in just six seconds?

The Island of Dr. Moreau in 6 Seconds

YouTube reached out to me in the winter of 2017 and asked me to participate in showcasing their new 6 second ‘bumper’ ad format. The idea was to condense famous stories into just 6 seconds.

Challenge accepted.

I decided to use this opportunity to explore rapid, low-cost content creation. With just a couple of weeks to write, shoot, edit and finish, I assembled a team to script and perform while I grabbed my camera to direct and cracked my knuckles prior to editing, designing and finishing each video myself.

All six video were showcased at the YouTube Lounge in Austin Texas at SXSW 2017.
